Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of training and checking programs, including regulatory requirements, and to continually evaluate and implement new initiatives to ensure that future training demands are met and:

1. Coordinates with the heads of flight operations units and divisions the activities of operational policy and procedure and SOP development,

2. Maintain a team of qualified and certified flight instructors, simulator instructors and approved check pilots to conduct required flight training,

3. Cooperatively develop pilot approved fine training, observation and operating experience programs with the Training Manager,

4. Cooperatively develop cabin approved ground and fine training and checking programs with the Manager Cabin Crew Training and Standards,

5. Cooperatively provide directives, define requirements and controls for the execution of those activities, with Manager Flight Operations Standards, and

6. Promote a y Culture withinSafet the Organization

7. Ensure that all activities are accomplished in accordance with company policies and procedures and any relevant regulations for these activities.

Required Experience for the role:

Essential:

  • Hold or have held an TRI/TRE/SFI/SFE qualification issued by an ICAO recognized Regulatory Authority.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an instructor / examiner.
  • Have a minimum of 8000 hours of Airline flying experience of which a minimum of 4000 hours as PIC on A320 or equivalent Airbus type.
  • Have a minimum of ICAO ELP level 5.

Preferred:

  • Have attributes of an effective instructor focusing on the 3 pillars- Teaching Skills, Communication Skills and Style Adaptability.
  • Have airline management experience preferably in the pilot training department.
  • Have current or previous experience working with regulatory bodies.
  • Have attended and completed a Quality / Safety Management Course.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point and presentation skills.
