The eCommerce Manager is responsible for conversion optimization, user experience, and digital analytics activity aimed at helping the organization reach its commercial and visitor targets for its digital platforms such as website and mobile app.

Impact:

  • Contribute to the overall Digital strategy
  • Identify, recommend, and execute strategies and initiatives to drive conversion rates, revenue and profitability
  • Ensuring the airline e-transaction experience is the core revenue generation activity, with primary focus on mobile and website
  • Increase self-servicing share to reduce cost-of-sales and servicing
  • Establish mobile and website as the preferred point-of-contact for all customers
  • Ensure the airline mobile strategy is aligned with and develop a cutting-edge technology in respect to the general airline industry and mobile trends. We want to be an award-winning airline in this area.
  • Identify ancillary revenue opportunities in the mobile and web sales environment
  • Ensure selection of payment gateways is optimal for the always connected customer who want intuitive choices around booking a flight quickly and browsing for leisure
  • Define and deliver the search engine optimization (SEO) strategy
  • Deliver results for key product metrics and goals that support business objectives
  • Contribute to and help execute the airline’s search engine marketing strategy
  • Contribute to and help execute the airline’s affiliate marketing strategy
  • Contribute and help execute e-marketing initiatives such as email marketing
  • Identify new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
  • Identify and communicate business needs based off analysis for improved website functionality and enhanced customer experience to dramatically grow the business
  • Determine key performance metrics and incorporate them in the user experience design and processes.
  • Manage both web and mobile analytics, be familiar with tagging, tracking and reporting capabilities of well-known analytics platforms
  • Make key trade-off decisions when required, smartly using data when it exists and solid judgment when it doesn’t, escalating as appropriate
  • Responsible for online customer experience and related project management.
  • Manage approach to mobile application development
  • Translate organizational and departmental objectives into e-commerce objectives and KPIs
  • Work with Revenue Management and Network and Sales departments to embed the mobile sales channel in our fare, sales and distribution processes
  • Builds a strong positive relationship across the organization by engaging and communicating with superiors and with peers.
  • Maintains a productive, inspiring relationship with the agencies and vendors with an aim of delivering insightful and innovative digital solutions
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Engage in constructive conversations with key stakeholders, including senior executives, while continually building professional and productive relationships
  • Works with established digital partners (Google, Facebook) and with industry partners (aviation technology companies) to ensure the strategy stays relevant and continues to innovate
  • Is always on the forefront of digital innovation, proposes, develops and implements ideas that innovate and engage
  • Manages research projects to ensure consumer understanding that can be translated into superior communication
  • Advocates and disseminates best practice, new learnings and developments across digital, mobile and new technologies within the organization
  • Maintains high ethical standards of the team and compliance with Saudi laws, customs and social responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge

  • Knowledgeable about online sales and marketing technologies and latest industry trends across online retail and online travel in particular.
  • Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or other web analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM and web traffic acquisition strategies
  • Knowledge of web optimization, A/B/multivariate testing and data-driven marketing techniques

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field experience.

Experience

  • 7+ years working directly with web and mobile eCommerce businesses
  • 5+ years in job-related experience within Project Management, Marketing, Communications, Advertising role, or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience in digital marketing with focus on mobile in a large consumer focused organization in KSA (can be agency side)
  • Understanding of the vendor / supplier environment in KSA.
  • Previous airline experience preferred
  • Experience with using data and analytics to drive optimization
  • Experience web traffic acquisition and conversion strategies

  • Expert user of technologies that drive eCommerce
  • Good understanding of analytics, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Consumer focus evidenced by ability to provide understanding of behaviours, drivers and attitudes of Saudi digital youth
  • Good presentation skills and ability and confidence to present to senior management
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to deliver results
  • Project management skills, ability to deliver a project from concept to execution
  • Strong individual contributor but also able to perform as a functional team leader and hands-on manager
  • Good presentation skills and ability and confidence to present to senior management level
  • In depth understanding of digital and web technologies
  • Strong technology focus and familiarity with underlying eCommerce technologies with proven ability to partner with software development teams on investments and planning decisions
