● Assist the IT Service Management Supervisor to do the following:
● Perform planned activities in conjunction with the relevant business function to deliver the required computer equipment.
● Deliver the on-going I.T. support service to the flyadeal computer user community.
● Deliver Help Desk support services to the flyadeal computer user community.
● Perform planned activities in order to maintain a stable and robust, fit for purpose, central computer operations infrastructure for the company.
● Perform planned activities in order to deliver enhancements to the company’s computing infrastructure.
● Where appropriate report on actual performance against service level agreements with external suppliers.
● Throughout the flyadeal IT user community
● With external suppliers of IT related products and services
● Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and systems.
● Install, configure, test and maintain networking systems and IOS.
● Perform regular preventive maintenance to data centre, networking devices and systems.
● Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
● Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
● Provide 1st and 2nd level support
● Understanding of the attributes of various types of computing equipment that are available and understanding their comparative capabilities and performance in relation to their cost.
● Knowledge:
● Thorough knowledge of WAN & LAN technologies.
● Manage and monitor systems and infrastructure.
● Good knowledge of IP Telephony.
● Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
● Thorough knowledge of support techniques for information management systems.
● Thorough knowledge of computer hardware & software.
● Sound knowledge of business computing, the equipment required to deliver it, and the mechanisms for finding faults and taking remedial action.
