Job Description

Role Purpose
The project manager will monitor and oversee the project until completion and will take care of any issues or project roadblocks which may arise.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / SUBSTANTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing and maintaining multiple business IT projects at any given time.
  • Collecting project requirements from business leaders and translating them into technical briefs with timelines
  • Develop RFP, business cases and plans in conjunction with the relevant business function, gain approval for,
  • Manage project life cycle from data gathering phase till closure phase
  • monitor and oversee the project until completion and will take care of any issues or project roadblocks which may arise.
  • Managing IT project budgets
  • Allocating IT resources to the relevant parties
  • Organising and setting project priorities
  • Develop service level agreements with external suppliers and manage the supplier to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in managing Level 3 support for the resolution of issues that are referred to the supplier
  • Manage relevant contracts and budgets.
  • Support strategic decision analysis
  • Continually review relevant I.T./business processes, reengineering as appropriate
  • Manage the provision of required training from an I.T. perspective for IT and business departments.
  • Manage Project KPI’s.
  • Provide regular and frequent progress reports in a style and format consistent with the standard reporting requirements of the I.T. department and company generally.
  • Manage I.T. coordination for legal and/or regulatory project implementation.
  • Support the Finance Dept. with invoice reconciliation for IT projects.
  • Focus on contributing to a market leading Corporate Systems processes through appropriate and relevant “state of the art” innovative business software and hardware.
  • Engage with the relevant departments to provide I.T. input for related Projects
  • Participate in project management process review and reengineering to smooth project implementation within company
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the IT Team, Business team leaders and decision makers
  • Work proactively with all third-party suppliers to develop strong business relationships
  • Operate effectively within the existing I.T. team through participation and contribution, and deliver the appropriate training/knowledge transfer to new members of the I.T. team as and when required
  • Research, identify and propose potential enhancements for potential services and Systems as the airline expands its operations.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge

  • Of Project Management
  • Of the airline industry generally (preferred)
  • Of airline Systems processes and procedures (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of emerging I.T. industry System standards
  • Fluent in information technology and cutting-edge Systems that lead the way not just in aviation but other market sectors
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Certifications
  • Certified in Scrum, Agile, PMI
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management
  • Minimum 2 years of IT Systems Applications, Processes, Procedures and Service Providers
  • Experience with project management software
