Job Description

The Aircraft Engineer will support head of engineering on all Engineering and projects activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides technical support and engineering disposition in order to resolve aircraft power problems in all ATA Chapters.
  • Reviews and actions Airworthiness Directives (ADs) so as to ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations.
  • Review evaluate and action OEMs documentations (SBs, VSBs, OITs. SILs, etc.) to ensure compliance as required.
  • Acts as a technical liaison with engine and component manufacturers, vendors and overhaul agencies regarding the overhaul, repair and modification of all components, as required by company policy.
  • Maintains awareness of FAA regulations and required compliance of FARs, ADs, SBs and company maintenance program.
  • Issues engineering documentation such as engineering orders, manual supplements and build specifications as required to support the aircraft maintenance operation.
  • Assists Maintenance and Materials Departments with parts and components research in order to determine proper effectivity and interchangeability.
  • Interfaces with Maintenance, Materials, Quality and Flight Operations Departments in order to provide solutions to technical issues on the fleet.
  • Other duties as assigned to assist flyadeal in achieving its operational goals and objectives.
  • Establishing aircraft reliability programs in accordance with MRB, MPD, and engineering reliability program and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Analyzing cost effectiveness of modifications recommended by aircraft and components manufacturers and preparing necessary engineering documents accordingly.
  • Investigating aircraft incidents and accidents.
  • Monitoring fleet health and reliability of all components, and prepare engineering reliability reports monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Performing engineering analysis and determine corrective actions for components, systems, airframe, and power plants failure modes to minimize operation and maintenance costs.
  • Establishing and updating standard measurements for aircraft and components.
  • Repairing assessment and designing scheme for airframe, engines and components.
  • Ensuring compatibility and accuracy of manufacturer and vendor technical documents with flyadeal fleet, and requesting updates and corrections whenever necessary.
  • Daily communications with FAD MCC to track any urgent preventative maintenance or MEL required items, with a view to minimise AOG situations.
  • Build a good rapport with external partners to ensure FAD requirements are adequately considered and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Daily communications and interactions with FAD contracted technical service providers, to ensure stock levels and support is in line with the agreed contractual terms.
  • Commence dialogues with various entities such as the OEM and OEM vendors with respect to warranty considerations that FAD is entitled to.
  • Interact with FAD finance department to track and manage costs associated with Supply and Warranty functions within E&M.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge

  • Aircraft Engineering experience.
  • Projects Management.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Technical agreements evaluations.
  • Aircraft Airworthiness and Regulations Experience.

Education

  • BS Degree Aircraft, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Certifications

  • A320 formalization or Type ratings, CFM engines certifications are preferred.

Experience

  • Have (5) years’ experience in a similar role in an Aircraft maintenance environment.
